HR-IS Delivery
The Challenge
The uncomfortable fact facing HR Functions is that the majority of HR-IS projects FAIL. At iProCon HCM our research has shown that on average HR-IS Projects finish 26% over budget, are 4.2 months late and 57% fail to meet expectations or indeed have to be ‘de-scoped’ to meet time and cost parameters.
When considering that a comprehensive HR-IS system costs on average £300K for a medium size enterprise, overspend alone is typically costing organisations at least £78,000 per instance, and this does not include the cost of failing to realise intended benefits.
iProCon HCM addresses these issues by providing an end-to-end integrated delivery approach that assists organisations in managing the complexity of HR-IS Delivery whilst ensuring the system is fully adopted post implementation. Our delivery experience ensures your organisation has the right strategy for implementation, benefits are fully understood and tracked and the implementation is sized appropriately and managed meticulously. Our 6-Stage approach is summarised below:

Deliverables
iProCon HCM offer three levels of HR-IS Delivery service:
Bronze
Our research has shown that two of the most frequent causes of HR-IS delivery failure are the absence of a coherent vision and/or poor project planning and sizing at the outset. To over come these causes of failure we have developed 2 workshop packages:
- HR-IS Visioning: Workshop designed to match HR-IS objectives with those of the Organisation and the IT department. Output will be a HR-IS vision, Benefits Network and high-level route map to deliver the HR-IS.
- Project Sizing & Design: Workshop to assess high-level requirements (taken from HR-IS Strategy) before sizing and designing the appropriate change programme required to deliver the HR-IS.Both HR-IS users and vendors often cite the failure to adequately capture system requirements coupled with poor vendor management as the most common reasons for HR-IS delivery failure.
Capitalising on our experience in delivering many HR Information Systems we have devised a series of comprehensive fixed price “packages” to achieve the following:
- HR-IS Vendor Selection: We take ‘pre-defined’ requirements and manage the full vendor selection process: RFI >> RFIP >> Vendor Assessment >> Contract Management
- System Requirements Definition: Through a series of workshops and interviews we facilitate the development of your systems requirements matched to your business needs, and deliver these to your chosen HR-IS provider ensuring clarity around pricing and deliverables.
Please note that all silver packages include the bronze HR-IS Visioning service as part of the package.
Gold
Comprehensive end-to-end management of the HR-IS delivery process (see 6-stage approach above). We work with your organisation from development of your HR-IS strategy through vendor selection, implementation and post implementation embedding of the system.
